Our Teachers
Lynn Hungate
Owner, InstructorLynn Stone Hungate holds a B.S. degree in Dance and a minor in Communications from James Madison University. Her choreography has received regional and national awards from some of the most well-respected dance organizations in the country. Many of her dancers have gone on to dance with nationally ranked college dance teams and professionally. Lynn is a certified teacher with Dance Educators of America and Acrobatic Arts.
Brandi Holland
InstructorBrandi Holland began dancing at the age of 5 at Ardell Stone School of Dancing. Brandi is the backbone of our youth dance program. She knows how to inspire lifelong interest in movement, learning, and dance. Brandi is a Speech-Language Pathologist in Botetourt County Schools working with children in preschool to fifth grade. She is also an adjunct faculty at Radford University.
Reynu Wood
InstructorA native of Cary, NC, Reynu Wood has danced her whole life. She recently relocated to Roanoke to dance with RBT as a performer. She has also danced with such distinguished companies as Syracuse City Ballet, Miami City Ballet, and The Bolshoi Ballet Academy as a merit scholarship recipient. She is also pursuing a degree in Business Administration and is thrilled to be an instructor at Ardell Stone School of Dancing.
Ellen Muldowney
InstructorEllen Muldowney began dancing at the age of 2 in her hometown of Haymarket, Virginia. She received many accolades while studying and competing in lyrical, jazz, contemporary, musical theater, tap and hip hop. In high school, Ellen was selected to be an Elite Dancer with the national organization Excel in Motion and had the honor of assisting and demonstrating for professional dancers from the TV show So You Think You Can Dance. Ellen attended the University of Pittsburgh as a member of their Division I dance team. There she had the opportunity to dance in an NFL stadium in front of thousands of fans. In 2023, Ellen transferred to Virginia Tech to pursue her major in Multimedia Journalism and a career in teaching dance. She has a passion for sharing her experience and love for dance with her students.
Jacob Myers
Office ManagerMr. Jacob is a lifelong dancer and athlete who began his journey at just 2 years old. With a background as a competitive dancer and gymnast, he now performs professionally with Roanoke Ballet Theatre. Throughout his career he has had the privilege of working with renowned artists and choreographers, including Teddy Forance, Mia Michaels and many more. Beyond the stage, Jacob brings his expertise to the industry as a backstage manager and judge for several national dance competitions. Jacob is a master gymnastics instructor specializing in aerials, back handsprings, tucks, layouts, step- outs and twists. It’s not too late to join one of Mr. Jacob’s acro classes.
Jenny Justice
Office ManagerJenny was born and raised in Roanoke and graduated from Cave Spring High School before earning her degree from George Mason University. She spent 8 years in South Floridas as a buyer for several prestigious golf clubs. She eventually made her way back to Roanoke, where she is now raising her 3 wonderful children, Jake, Kyla and Lily. Kyla and Lily are proud members of the Elevate Performing Company. It brings Jenny great joy to watch them grow and thrive through dance.
