Little girls take dance for many reasons- friends and fun being at the top of their list. But as teachers and parents, we know dance teaches us so much more. It teaches imagination, strength, coordination and grace.
More importantly, it builds confidence, teaches them to be part of a team, and to work with others to create. It teaches responsibility and takes dedication.
It's not too early to start your child in dance. This class is a fun introduction to dance. Classes are 50 minutes weekly.
Age 3-4 years
Jazz
Students are placed according to ability, age and experience. This class is one hour weekly. All students must take a ballet class in order to be enrolled.
Our mission is to provide an enriching artistic experience for every unique child. Our school is a place where students can explore movement, physicality, and expression in a FUN and supportive learning environment.
We recognize every student is different. We strive for every child to feel validated in their uniqueness, creativity, and talent
Dance is both physical and expressive, making it uniquely suited for children. Students use their energy and their natural enthusiasm to express themselves.
Our studio is the perfect place for a young child to take their very first dance class in a caring and professional environment... as well as for the more serious dancer to receive top-notch training.
We were voted by the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce as the area's "Small Business of The Year" and have earned an A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.

What Others Are Saying
"It was one of the fondest parts of my childhood, it made me a proper lady. I think about dance and there is a special place in my heart from those times."
- Dr. Molly Rutherford-
"Ardell Stone School of Dancing was my home away from home for 15 years! I could not have asked for a better place to help me become who I am while helping me grow in what I love to do...dancing!! The instructors are so kind, loving and helpful. I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to dance at such an incredible Studio!"
- Taylor Walton -
Dance taught me discipline. It taught me how to set goals, how to achieve them, how to accomplish them. It also taught me how to take constructive criticism and turn it into something positive.
